Wishnet Entertainment and Wrought Iron Records from Portland, Oregon proudly announce the release of Nicole CampbellÕs debut solo CD, Little Voice.
Campbell has moved past the experimental alt-rock of her former band, IvanÕs wish, and has confidently moved over to the creation of her first solo effort. The 11 songs on the album reflect a diverse range of instrumentation and arrangement, featuring everything from sparse Ògirl with guitar,Ó to richly textured numbers with strings and exotic instruments, to full-blown rock.
One thing remains throughout-NicoleÕs incredible vocals. From the opening number ÒTake Me Down,Ó to the searing vocal gymnastics of the discÕs last song, ÒPhoenix Fire,Ó NicoleÕs singing is filled with emotion and character. Little Voice was co-produced by Campbell and multi-talented singer/songwriter Mel Kubik. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Mike Moore at Dead Aunt ThelmaÕs Studio in Portland, OR.
Nicole provided vocals, acoustic guitar and various percussion for the album and some of the NorthwestÕs finest musicians contributed their talents to the record-including Tim Ellis, Dirk Sullivan, Brenda Dickey, Terry Robb and Mike Snyder.
